In 1982, a group of women in Henrietta formed a society with the intent to raise awareness of the name and accomplishments of this remarkable woman.  Her advocacies and achievements in social reform  and women’s rights led her to join the company of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Lucretia Mott.

The Antoinette Brown Blackwell Society annually recognizes an outstanding Woman of the Year from Henrietta, and awards a scholarship to Henrietta residents pursuing higher education. Our scholarship winners have entered careers in medicine, education, science and ministry.

When you join the Society, your dues help fund these programs.
