Henrietta Senior Center
515 Calkins Road

In 1976 when they purchased their home on Pinnacle Road, Dr. Elmar and Catherine Frangenberg did not know that they were purchasing the childhood home of one of Henrietta’s most famous residents, Antoinette ‘Nette’ Brown Blackwell. The Frangenburgs did know that the house would need restorative work. They had a twenty-year plan that included jacking up a sagging second floor.

In December of 2000, the Frangenbergs received an Historic House Award from the Landmark Society for the care and restoration of this property. Catherine Frangenberg will discuss some of the renovation projects that have occurred as well as the life of the woman who grew up in this fieldstone house, Antoinette Brown Blackwell. Following the program, tea and cookies will be served.

All programs are free and handicapped accessible.
